Time, Passport in
I just got accepted as a PIT volunteer. Specifically I'll be spending a week this summer working on the Laramie Peak/LaBonte Canyon Rockshelter Survey in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. I could not be much more excited. Like everyone else, I found out about the PIT program via a posting on MetaFilter last year. After the posting, the PIT program was swamped with applications. The odds of getting a slot after that were somewhere in the rang of winning the lotto. Apparently things have slowed down somewhat this year. Or perhaps it was my impassioned plea on the application?
